| Summary | The Windows NT series is a graphical OS, designed for corporate workstations and servers. NT has a similar look and feel of Windows 98, but is a completely different OS. It is a more robust design, with advanced security and administration. It does lack some compatibility with DOS and Windows 9x games, and other applications that need to communicate quickly (i.e. directly) with the hardware. Microsoft has updated this with the newer Windows 2000. Terminal Server Edition is an extension to the standard Windows NT server to provide Windows like operation to diverse desktop hardware through terminal emulation. | |||||||||||||||||||||
