The Windows 2000 series is a graphical OS, primarily designed for corporate workstations and servers. Windows 2000 advanced server is the follow on to Windows NT server, and adds FAT32 support, improved stability, broader range of device drivers including USB and IEEE 1394 support. For network environments, Active Directory was added to improve manageability and security. This server edition also integrates Microsoft BackOffice.
Windows 2000 support and updates ended on July 13, 2010.
